Her Life

Shivani was born in Calcutta, India.A city brimming with art, culture and above all energy. She currently lives in London and works in the City.

Shivani sees no contradiction in having an artistic mind and being a part of the corporate world. She believes that if the artist in you is alive, the creativity of your perspective reflects in your work in any sphere.
Her work took her to at least 30 different cities and countries - what started as an interest in seeing Art galleries across the world led her to experiment with Painting herself. And soon she found herself immersed in the world of Art.

Drawing from her mathematical background she painted the Fibonacci series in 2008 – a series of paintings that was hugely successful. Several exhibitions followed in London and India: Walton Street Knightsbridge, the Brunei Gallery in SOAS, the Totteridge Town Hall, the London Business School, the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall and at 86 St James. Shivani’s work has sold internationally in London, Paris, Strassbourg, New York, Chicago, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore & Hong Kong.

One of her series called “Elements” reflects her passion for the environment where Shivani used reclaimed, distressed wood, rusted nails, grass and other waste.

"What will be the next theme in my works? I don't know. Life has taken me to wonderful places and the beauty is that I do not know what's coming in my work - or in my life."
She is currently in the process of writing a book that juxtaposes the visual expression of her travels with what she describes as 'poems on different cities'.
She has also been involved with various charities and 10 percent of all the money she raises from showing her works of art goes towards "expanding minds" and enhancing the quality of life experiences. Recent charities supported by Shivani include "Great Ormonde Street Hospital", "The Royal Parks" and "The Eve Appeal"
